Make Good Choices

Make Good Choices

Make good choicesRecently, I heard someone say to a young adult as they were leaving, ‘make good choices’ and it got me thinking about the choices we make not just everyday but throughout our life that can really stick with you.  The choice (and opportunity) to go to college. The choice of whom you marry. The choice (or not) to have children. The choice of where you live.  For some, these choices are pretty much made for you by your family dynamic, where you grew up, your socio-economic standards and so on.  But for others, its the willingness to risk, the willingness to step out as far as you can on that branch to see the better view; catch the better breeze; live the fuller experience.  I know lots of people (particularly living on an island) who take risks without being risky, if you catch my meaning.  Starting a new business is always risky given the high rate of failure of most.  But my experience with small business owners is that they are not only risk takers; but also HUGE believers in the possible.  Its that belief that propels them forward.  Sometimes what seems like a rudderless life to the outside is that individual discarding the bad choices.  Island Contessa is my ‘good choice’.  What’s yours?

Ciao,
